The following information is intended for paraglider pilots, in order to ensure an informed and safe use of the site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Flying conditions and aerological notes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Flight may be undertaken by paraglider pilots of all levels, subject to a careful assessment of the prevailing meteorological conditions. However, it is essential to observe a number of precautions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hours of solar exposure: especially for less experienced pilots, it is important to assess carefully the central hours of the day, particularly in the spring and summer months.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spring: during this season, which is characterised by stronger thermals and at times sustained winds, an even more careful assessment of both one\u2019s own capabilities and the prevailing conditions is required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attention to upper-level winds: the take-off area is exposed to <strong>East\u2013North\u2013East<\/strong>. In the presence of winds from <strong>South\u2013West at altitude (even light), it is necessary to pay the utmost attention to possible increases in wind strength<\/strong>, in order to avoid potentially critical leeward situations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Flight requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Access to the flying site requires:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A valid paragliding pilot licence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A valid, mandatory third-party liability insurance policy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certified equipment in good condition and properly maintained.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ability to independently assess both the meteorological conditions and one\u2019s own level of experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rules of the Flying Site<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>At Take-of<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strictly respect right-of-way rules and follow the indications given by other pilots present on site.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare your equipment only in the designated area, without obstructing other pilots\u2019 take-off operations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take off only when the conditions are suitable and the airspace in front of the launch is clear<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>In Flight<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Comply with the rules of the air and established right-of-way priorities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Avoid acrobatic manoeuvres or any manoeuvres that are not appropriate to your technical skill level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Caution in the valley: do not proceed into the valley behind the take-off area if you are at low altitude.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Caution in the \u201cLe Tese\u201d area: pay particular attention to the strong thermal located between Monte Grande and Montepizzo (locality Le Tese). This zone should only be approached with adequate height, never from below.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Landing<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The main landing field is located in the locality Vaie di Mezzo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The landing approach must always be carried out against the wind.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two clearly visible windsocks are installed to help you assess wind direction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alternative Landing Areas (for cross-country flights):\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the event of arriving low after a distance flight, alternative landing fields are available near the water treatment plant (fields both upstream and downstream of the facility).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These areas are marked with red-and-white tape.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Responsibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each pilot flies under his or her own sole responsibility.
